Now this is Architecture worth seeing! The Taos Pueblo situated in Taos, NM, just north of Santa Fe, NM, was constructed in 1000 – 1450 AD. It is still maintained by the Puebloan people by adding a mix for building an adobe, earth mix, water, and straw. It is the oldest inhabited pueblo in North America. 150 Toas Indians still inhabit the Pueblo full time. In 1992 it was named one of the most significant historical cultural landmarks like the Taj Mahal and the Grand Canyon. Brilliant, eye catching, colors were used to paint this watercolor. You will notice the ladders in this painting as the Pueblo were originally built sans doors and windows since entry into the Pueblo was accessed via the roof. Today the Pueblo has doors and windows.
